The National Museum of American History is well known for having the enormous flag that inspired the composition of our national anthem..but now it's most recent addition is gathering more attention it seems.
First Lady Melania Trump donated her inaugural gown, as is tradition for first ladies to do. But dare I say it, it was the most beautiful gown in the entire exhibit. (in my opinion). I just love the simplicity of the color and design that makes this dress modestly classy. I love off-the-shoulder dresses and this reminds me of something a greek goddess would wear.
Around the room, you will see gowns that belonged to previous first ladies like Jackie Kennedy, Laura Bush, Martha Washington and Nancy Reagan to name a few. You will also see dinner ware displayed, picked by past first ladies for the white house dinners. How cool! This exhibit kinda makes me wonder, if I were going to be First Lady what dress would I wear. hmmmmm I guess we shall wait and see.
